Privacy Policy

Overview

WAConnect ("we", "our", or "us") is a Chrome extension that lets you send personalized bulk messages via WhatsApp Web. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

We built WAConnect with privacy as a core principle. Your contacts, messages, and WhatsApp data never leave your device — they are processed entirely within your browser and WhatsApp Web.

Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

• Google Account info — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided when you sign in with Google via Firebase Authentication.
• Send settings — your configured delay, batch size, and cooldown preferences, stored so they sync across devices.
• Feedback (optional) — text you voluntarily submit through the in-app feedback form.

We do not collect, transmit, or store:

• Your WhatsApp contacts or phone numbers
• Message content you send
• CSV files you upload
• Any media or attachments

How We Use It

• Authentication — to identify your account and keep it secure via Firebase.
• Settings sync — to restore your preferences when you use the extension on a new device.
• Product improvement — feedback you submit helps us fix bugs and prioritize features. It is never shared.

Data Sharing

• We never sell your personal data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We share data only with Firebase and Cloudflare as infrastructure sub-processors, solely to operate the service.
• We may disclose data if required by law or to protect legal rights.

Data Retention

• Account data — retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Settings — retained until you request deletion or uninstall the extension.
• Feedback — retained for up to 12 months, then permanently deleted.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correct — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Delete — request deletion of all your data from our systems.
• Withdraw consent — stop using the extension and request data removal at any time.

Children's Privacy

WAConnect is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of WAConnect after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

For significant changes, we will notify you via the extension itself.
